Privacy and cookies

Your learning activity

The Guild stores your submitted exercises, explanations, feedback, notes and progress in its hosted database. A random, essential browser cookie keeps your records separate from other visitors. We do not need your name or email to save your learning progress.

This is browser-based progress, not a signed-in account. Anyone using the same browser profile can access it. Another device or browser will have separate progress. Clearing this cookie removes your access to the saved records, so use the delete control below first if you want the records removed as well.

Do not submit personal or confidential information. Never enter real private keys, seed phrases or wallet recovery material into a lesson or tool. Public lessons and examples do not contain visitors’ answers.

How long learning data is kept

Your learning session lasts 90 days from creation. It does not renew automatically. After that, its records are no longer accessible through the site and are queued for deletion during subsequent site activity. You can delete them sooner using the control below. This control removes the active database records; hosting-provider backups may follow a separate retention schedule.

Delete your learning data

This removes the progress, answers, feedback and notes associated with this browser. It cannot be undone. It does not affect other visitors or your analytics choice.

Essential storage

The secure learning cookie is inaccessible to page scripts. Browser storage also remembers preferences such as text size and your cookie choice. The cookie choice lasts up to 180 days. Hosting and security providers may process connection information, including IP addresses, to serve and protect the site.

Optional Google Analytics

If you choose “Allow analytics”, Google Analytics helps us understand which lessons people visit. It receives page paths, basic device and browser information, referral origin and usage events. Google also receives connection information when your browser contacts its service. We do not send your lesson answers, wallet inputs, search entries, name, email or learning-session identifier to Analytics.

Analytics is off until you accept. Declining does not restrict lessons. Advertising personalisation, Google signals and automatic enhanced measurement are disabled. Analytics cookies expire after 90 days. Use “Cookie settings” in the footer to change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops further measurement from this browser and removes our accessible Analytics cookies; it does not erase data already received by Google.

The Analytics property keeps event-level data for two months and user-level data for 14 months, with the user period resetting on new activity. Aggregated reports can remain available for longer. These are separate from the Guild’s 90-day learning sessions.
